Imprinted Concrete Sealing

Pattern imprinted concrete is often preferred to monoblock paving as it is a very hard wearing surface, plus mainteanance is generally considered to be a lot easier. Many homeowners across Aberdeenshire have opted to have their driveways and patios laid with imprinted concrete because of this.

As there are no sand filled joints with imprinted concrete it much easier to clean and maintain than monoblock paving. Weeds do not grow so readily but algae and moss can grow if the surface is not looked after.

When the imprinted concrete is first laid it is usually sealed with a 'wet look' acrylic sealer to make the surface shine and look visually appealing. Over time, with constant exposure to the sun and prolonged wear from car tyres, the concrete can lose colour and start to look 'patchy'. A top up coat of sealer every 3-4 is advisable to keep the concrete looking like it was recently laid.

We specialise in imprinted concrete refurbishment throughout Aberdeenshire. We can pressure wash the imprinted concrete to remove any surface dirt, moss or algae, that may be present on the surface. If necessary, when we can also add colour tint to the sealer when we re-seal the concrete. This will help to make it look like new.
